Radiology

The use of radiology in examining and diagnosing your pet's injuries and ailments is an integral tool of our veterinary practice.

With state-of-the-art in-house technology, it is now possible for Melbourne Pet Surgery to rapidly learn details about your pet that were previously inaccessible.

We use non-invasive radiography to assess the health of bones and organs to provide the best possible treatment to our patients, using premium quality radiology and imaging equipment.

We can use x-rays to obtain the information we need to formulate the next step in your pet's medical care. For example, it can be used as a diagnostic tool in instances of trauma, vomiting, limping, coughing and abdominal pain.

The system we use generates images in less than ten seconds, with the results from these x-rays being available immediately.

In most cases, x-rays are taken while your pet is awake. If required, they will be given a light sedation to aid in positioning. This reduces stress in your pet, improving the quality of information.

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns about our animal radiology services in Melbourne.
