Dr. Daphene graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017 and has since worked across various small animal general practices and emergency hospital in Melbourne. Her passion for preventative care, emergency medicine, feline medicine, palliative care, and soft tissue surgeries keeps her deeply engaged in the dynamic environment of general practice, where no two days are ever the same.

Dr. Daphene values the human-animal bond and believes that every pet is a unique member of the family. She is committed to providing care that is both compassionate and personalized, tailoring diagnostics and treatments to meet each pet’s individual needs. Her approach centres on advocating for pets’ health and well-being while also supporting the quality of life for both pets and their families.

In 2024, Dr. Daphene earned her General Practitioner Certificate for Feline Practice. She is also a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian. She is currently planning to further her studies in ultrasound to expand her diagnostic capabilities.

Outside of work, Dr. Daphene enjoys dancing ( teaches Zumba!), bouldering, reading, and exploring Melbourne’s vibrant food scene. She shares her home with two beloved cats, Molly and Snape. Originally from Malaysia, she is fluent in English and Mandarin, with basic conversational skills in Cantonese and Hokkien.
